to her career again.
With her well-known repeating dot patterns, she encompasses a huge
variety of media~ painting, drawing, performance, film, sculpture, writing
(only available in Japanese, but she wrote novels as well!)
and yes! she collaborated with Louis Vuitton and created crazy 'dots'n dots'
bags last year.
As she mentioned in her autobiography, these dot patterns mean 'Infinity Net',
expressing the minimalism of human being, and the maximalism of the universe.
Though she has lived in a mental hospital and commutes to her studio
from the institution since 1977, she's still exploring in her mind and
re-inventing her style.
In an attempt to share her vision, she has currently been creating
a number of installations that show endless dots in mirrored space.
They were highly reputed in last year's NY Whitney Museum and
London Tate Modern exhibition.
And now you can experience her world in Tokyo as well,
at Mori Museum of art.
